Ashley Burchfield, M.D. is a board certified family medicine physician, practicing in north Alabama since completing her training at Tuscaloosa Family Medicine Residency in 2001. She graduated cum laude from Auburn University in 1993, then attended the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine from 1993 to 1995. She moved back home to Huntsville in 1995 to be near her mother who was battling cancer, and completed medical school at UAB School Of Medicine- Huntsville campus, in 1998. She enjoys and is very committed to caring for her patients, and is especially interested in preventive health care, nutrition, fitness, and learning more about the growing fields of integrative medicine and obesity management. She also is honored to serve as board members of both Madison Hospital and First Community Senior Select.
Outside of the clinic, she enjoys spending time with her beloved family, including husband, Ron, of nearly 23 years, and her sons, Heath, 19, and Jackson, 15. Dr. Burchfield loves to spend time volunteering with her church, Asbury Methodist, as well as travelling, dancing, yoga, fitness classes, snow skiing, snorkeling, hiking, biking, cooking, scrapbooking, mission trips, and spending time with her friends and her pets.
